NEWPORT NEWS, Va.—Agnes Scott Cross Country saw its season come to a close in the NCAA South Regional Championships hosted by Christopher Newport University on Saturday morning. The Scotties finished 32nd overall and were paced by Faridah Nalunkuuma (Kampala, Uganda) for the sixth time in 2017.
TALLULAH FALLS, Ga.—Faridah Nalunkuuma (Kampala, Uganda) led the Agnes Scott Scotties to a finish in the top half of the USA South Conference Championships, hosted by Piedmont College, on Saturday morning. The Scottie senior ran a career-best 24:07 in the 6K event, which was good enough for ninth overall and helped Agnes to seventh in the team standings.
MT. BERRY, Ga.—Agnes Scott Cross Country ran to a 20th-place finish on an overcast morning at the Berry Invitational on Saturday morning. Alyssa Willis (Apache Junction, Ariz.) was the top runner for the Scotties, finishing 97th overall.
OAKWOOD, Ga.—Senior Faridah Nalunkuuma (Kampala, Uganda) ran a personal best in the 6k event at the Bobcat Invitational on Friday night to lead Agnes Scott Cross Country to a 12th place finish. The Scotties were one of only two Division III programs competing in the 19-team event.
CANTON, Ga.—Agnes Scott Cross Country finished just three points outside of a podium finish at the Reinhardt Invitational on the first day of competition for the 2017 season.
