Scotties Drop Conference Match to Scots in Three Sets

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga.—Covenant College protected its home court with a 3-0 win over visiting Agnes Scott to take the 2019 season series from the Scotties. Agnes Scott hit much better across the board comparative to its trip to Lookout Mountain just four days prior, but the Scots matched with a season-high hitting percentage to down the Scotties 25-15, 25-18, 25-14.

Covenant shook off an 0-2 weekend and put another mark in the conference win column to go to 6-4 in the USA South. Agnes Scott falls to 0-10 in league play.

The Scotties were led by Tiara White (Sinton, Texas) with eight kills, while Caroline Irving (Columbus, Ga.) served up 18 assists to aid the offense. Senior Kamiyla Lane (Atlanta, Ga.) had a season-high four kills off the bench for the Scotties.

First-year Alex Roquemore (Dallas, Texas) led all players in the match with nine total points—seven kills, one block and a service ace.

The Scotties return home this weekend to host a USA South quad with matches against Berea and Maryville.
