Volleyball Tripped Up at Covenant Quad

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga.—Agnes Scott College Volleyball's trip up the mountain ended with a pair of three-set losses to LaGrange and Huntingdon on Saturday afternoon. The Scotties see their record to fall to 0-8 in the USA South and 0-17 overall in 2019.

The Panthers and Hawks controlled most of the six sets on Saturday with Agnes Scott's best two set performances coming at the beginning and end of the day. LaGrange won the first match 25-18, 25-13, 25-6. Huntingdon downed the Scotties 25-8, 25-11, 25-23.

Agnes Scott was unable to ever fully click on offense, hitting at a negative rate in both matches for the first time this season. On the other side, LaGrange and Huntingdon both looked sharp on offense, keeping a Scottie defense guessing for most of the afternoon.

Musumaulai Galoia (Hephzibah, Ga.) had the standout performance of the day for the Scotties with a six-kill, one-block showing in the loss to LaGrange.

Both of Agnes' opponents went undefeated on the afternoon, with each team handing host Covenant a 3-0 loss as well.

The Scotties head right back up to Covenant on Tuesday to take on the Scots in a head-to-head match.
