Scotties Drop Two at Huntingdon

MONTGOMERY, Ala.—Agnes Scott Volleyball dropped two matches in a USA South tri-match on Saturday afternoon. Covenant took the season series from the Scotties with a win in three sets in the opener, before Huntingdon beat Agnes Scott in three as well.

The Scotties dip to 2-9 in conference play and 4-21 overall. Huntingdon went 2-0 in the tri-match, replicating its results in Decatur from earlier in the season. Both teams gave the Hawks trouble the first time around, but Huntingdon took both matches in three sets on Saturday. Huntingdon took the west division lead, beating Covenant for the second time this season. The Scots only two conference losses this season have come at the hands of the Hawks.

Covenant rebounded from a three-set loss to beat Agnes Scott in a fairly close three-setter. Agnes made the Scots earn each set, but ultimately fell 25-13, 25-19, 25-18.

Tiara White (Sinton, Texas) led the Scotties with 11 kills and 12.5 total points. Makayla Nash (San Francisco, Calif.) was kept busy on defense with 22 digs and Bella Kammerer (Mt. Sterling, Ky.) put up 21 assists.

Huntingdon carried its momentum from the first match and kept the Scotties' offense at bay in a 25-10, 25-15, 25-17 victory.

White turned in another double-digit kill performance with 10, while Kammerer added another 15 assists to creep closer to the 1,000 mark for a career.

The Scotties have three pivotal matches remaining on their schedule with trips to Brevard and Berea coming in the next week. Agnes Scott will need to win at least one of three for a chance to make the postseason, although two victories would clinch it for the Scotties.
