DECATUR, Ga.—Maryville spoiled Senior Day for Agnes Scott with a 3-0 win at Woodruff Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon. The Scotties honored seniors Paige Heck (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Morgan Pearson (Pensacola, Fla.) before the match.

Agnes Scott sees its record dip to 4-17 this year with a 2-6 mark in USA South Conference play. Maryville bounced back from a loss to Covenant on Friday night, improving to 11-8 and 6-3 respectively.

A short-handed Scottie squad was unable to contain the relentless outside from the Scots. Despite holding their own, Maryville was able to hit for an outstanding .313 clip with 12 of 43 kills coming off the right arm of Brianna Sidner (Marietta, Ga.). Agnes Scott also hit at a positive mark as Pearson connected on six kills to lead the Scotties.

Maryville was able to control the match from the start with extended runs that left the Scotties scrambling to come back. Solid ends to the first in second sets provided confidence for a young Scottie side, but the visiting Scots were able to take both sets 25-16. The Scots ran away in the third set with a 20-9 start before finishing off Agnes 25-12.

Yasmeen Chan (Jacksonville, Fla.) had 20 digs from her libero spot for the visitors, while Saidee McDaniel (Hendersonville, Tenn.) set up 28 kills. Both McDaniel and Sidner contributed three aces.

After Pearson, Kalia Jones (Atlanta, Ga.) and Tiara White (Sinton, Texas) combined for nine kills for the Scotties. White performed admirably at setter filling in for senior Bella Kammerer (Mt. Sterling, Ky.) with 15 assists and 12 digs—both team highs.

Agnes Scott remains home this week with matches against Piedmont and Emory on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7 p.m.
