ROME, Ga.--The USA South Athletic Conference has released its 2018-2019 Academic All-Conference Team. This season found 1,441 student-athletes earning Academic All-Conference honors, including 32 from Decatur.

BEREA,Ky.—Agnes Scott Women’s Volleyball got the win it needed in the final match of the regular season to clinch a postseason berth in the upcoming USA South. The Scotties rebounded from a 3-1 loss to LaGrange in the first match of the day to beat host Berea in four sets.

ATLANTA—Agnes Scott fell in a closely contested three-set match at Oglethorpe University on a rainy Wednesday evening in the metro area. The Scotties fought back after dropping the first set, but Oglethorpe was able to outlast them over the final two sets to claim a 3-0 win. Oglethorpe topped the Scotties 25-19, 25-20, 25-22.

A rocking Woodruff Gymnasium saw the Scotties shake off a slow start to the night to push the visiting Hawks to the brink before the visitors were able to hold on 25-11, 17-25, 25-16, 25-22.
The Hawks improved to 6-3 on the young season, while Agnes Scott falls to 1-9 entering conference play this week.

However, unlike in the first matchup Agnes Scott was able to battle from two sets down to take the third game before ultimately falling in four sets.
