Scotties Topped by Tornados 8-0

BREVARD, N.C.—Brevard saw its match win streak go to four in a row with an 8-0 victory over Agnes Scott on Saturday afternoon. The Tornados won convincingly at all spots in the lineup to send the Scotties to their ninth consecutive defeat.

Samantha Sepe (Niceville, Fla.) was a perfect 2-0 on the day, which included a 6-0, 6-0 result over USA South Rookie of the Year candidate Damira Augustin (Dacula, Ga.). Sepe also teamed up with Darden King (Raleigh, N.C.) took take down Augustin and Jacy Pippin (Atlanta, Ga.) at first doubles.

Pippin had the best result of the day for the Scotties in a gritty 6-1, 6-2 loss to Jen Cox (West Islip, N.Y.) at the second singles flight.

Agnes Scott is home twice in the next week as the Scotties are set to celebrate NCAA Division III Week beginning on Monday. The Scotties welcome Huntingdon to Decatur on Wednesday for a 2:30 p.m. start before Maryville comes to town on Friday for a 3:30 first serve. The Agnes Scott Athletic Department will be hosting a tailgate event ahead of the Maryville match on Friday afternoon.

Brevard improves to 9-4 overall and 3-0 in the USA South.
