Scotties Fall to Covenant, 57-44

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Agnes Scott basketball held an early lead, and Garis Grant had another big performance, but the Scotties eventually fell to Covenant on the road, 57-44. The Scots (10-11, 4-7 USA South) outscored the Scotties (2-15, 1-10 USA South) by ten points in the second half to pull away after a back and forth first half of play.

Grant, who is averaging a double-double this season, once again hit double digits in scoring and rebounding, bucketing 23 points and pulling down 15 rebounds. She almost registered her first career triple-double, as she blocked 8 shots on the evening, a career-high. Jalexis Teemer contributed 13 points and 7 assists for the Scotties.

The Scotties will return to action on Tuesday, February 7, as they travel to Wesleyan for another USA South contest. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
