The Agnes Scott Athletics Hall of Fame was established to honor and pay tribute to athletes, teams, coaches, and others who have made outstanding contributions to the Department of Athletics. Those selected for the Hall of Fame will have used their contributions to bring recognition and distinction to Agnes Scott College.
In 2020 members of the Inaugural Hall of Fame Class will become an integral part of Agnes Scott College’s sports history. The achievements of the inductees will serve as a reminder of the resilience, dedication, and commitment to excellence for student-athletes at the college.
There are three categories for which one can be nominated to the Agnes Scott Athletics Hall of Fame:
Student-Athlete Individual or Team

Nominees become eligible five years after their final collegiate season

Nominees must have been on the active roster in their final season prior to graduation

Nominees must have completed a minimum of two years at Agnes Scott College and earned a degree

All-Americans, national champions, conference champions, and all-time record-holders will automatically be nominated in the year they become eligible. Other notable superlatives, such as Athlete of the Year, may be submitted upon a coach’s recommendation.
Coach/Administrator

Nominees become eligible one year following their departure from Agnes Scott College or after 10 years of service to the college.

Nominees must have served as a coach or administrator in Agnes Scott athletics (full-time, part-time, and volunteer are all eligible).

Nominees should have contributed meaningfully to the growth of a program or made a significant contribution to Athletics
Legacy

Nominees may be members of the community, both internal and external to the college, who have made a meaningful and lasting impact on the department of athletics.
Timeline
Nominations are accepted year-round. They are reviewed and evaluated by the HOF committee of the Athletics Advisory Board and presented to the Athletics Advisory Board, including immediate past members for a vote in July. The deadline for nominations for the 2020 class is July 15th, 2020. Nominations received after the deadline will be considered in next year’s class. Those selected to be enshrined in the 2020 Hall of Fame Inaugural Class will be notified by August 1, 2020. The Induction Ceremony is tentatively planned for October 17, 2020.
